All Terrain Wheelchair

The Ultimate All-Terrain Wheelchair: Action Trackchair
By Katrina Nelson 12/25/09
The inherent meaning of disability is activity limitations and participation restrictions. Therefore it stands to reason that if people can find a way to do things that are not otherwise possible, they are less disabled. This is why some people do not want help with what they are able to do. Imagine the freedom for people who have walking disabilties because it is able to navigate terrain that would be difficult if not impossible in a wheel chair. A motorized wheel chair can give a person some independence because they can go where they choose if the terrain is smooth and not too steep. With the Trackchair the same people have many more options to choose from!

Let’s take a look at the Trackchair and consider some of the things it enables people with impairments to do.

1.Off-road activities. The avid outdoorsman can again enjoy nature
Disabled hunting; you can get out to your hunting spot with ease now.
Disabled fishing; ever tried to take a manual wheelchair in the river?
Disabled camping; navagating the woods has never been so easing.

2. Difficult to maneuver situations. Freedom of movement
Shopping ; clear the isles!
Yard work; You can even pick up dog doo!
Games; Bouche Ball, Bolo, Horse shoes, Frisbee Golf, etc, they have never been so much fun!

3. Beach travel; Tracks in the sand
Picnics; find a remote location and have a good time!
Sea air
Recreation

Picture now, pushing a wheelchair across a sandy beach. The frustration for the person assisting and the disabled person are easy to comprehend. Now imagine this same scenario with your friend or loved one navigating the Trackchair with you walking beside them, carrying a picnic basket and both of you are experiencing the freedom and openness of the great outdoors. The Trackchair changes the lives of the people with disabilities as well as those they live with! Imagine the joy of becoming less disabled. There is not much in this world, that could change the lives more, for people who have mobility limitations. There is a saying that Necessity is the Mother of Invention. Proving this point is the Trackchair which was developed by the father of a paraplegic because he saw a need. His son now lives in Montana and is able to enjoy the great outdoors. There is more to this chair than meets the eye though. The man who invented this has another relative with very limited motion but because the Trackchair is controlled by a joy stick, he also is able to be mobile. The inventor has a partner. He is a young man with mechanical skills and experience with auto-body repair. Together they have made these Trackairs fun! They can be purchased with many options and paint choices. There are camo painted chairs with gun cases attached, white spackled on red chairs and even a Breast-Cancer Pink chair which has been used for fund-raising. The size and turning radius are compact and precise. There is also a ramp available to transport it attached to the back of your vehicle.

Nature can heal the soul. There’s nothing better for one’s being than the beauty of nature. Trackchairs enable disabled people to get out in it. From dependent to independent.

If nature and the outdoors is you, this is a must have.

Ruby River Trip 1

11 11th, 2009

well, its been a week or so since the trip, it was fun, short, and cold, didnt get anything, chris and his son both got a buck muley I didnt have the right tag to shoot muleys only white tail doe, so we are going back to the area on the 20th for elk and white tails so wish me luck. But i was abled to get out to my post easy pie with my action trackchair the ultimate offroad wheelchair

We went camping this past weekend up the Mill Creek road out of Sheridan, MT, and it was a blast! I got stuck in the river, went to a ghost town, called smugglers mine, up a long mountain trail, tipped my chair over backwards going over a tree and face planted forwards once going down a steep incline! I had a really great time, the camp spot was perfect for a wheeled chair too, but the Action Trackchair really has no problems getting around what so ever!. The camp spot is 9.2 miles up Mill Creek Road, takes a long time to get up there tho, cause its really bumpy and rocky, you can get a camp trailer up there, but they don’t suggest it! there is 2 lakes like 12 miles up or so, and you can camp next to the lake, very nice, wasnt any spots left for us to stay at up at the lake, so get there on a Wednesday or Thursday if you can!
